A top-tier bank required emagine’s Regulatory Practice to kick-start the delivery of the regulatory SA-CVA programme by deploying specialist project resources according to local and global regulatory compliance.
Actions and outcomes
The emagine Regulatory team provided advice, analysis and assistance to the business by identifying gaps in risk models and approaches to mitigate them.
We also provided an analysis and validation of different model choices, as well as an ongoing review of the testing process/policy.
We identified regulatory gaps in CVA risk processes and procedures, including the setting of effective risk metrics, information monitoring and reporting.
Impact assessment: We designed an impact assessment to ascertain the scope of work that could be completed based on several factors, such as policy requirements, resource availability, and budget.
Process and outcome: emagine managed and led the project initiatives involving different stakeholders across several locations. We advised on quantitative testing of system implementation and assisted in any further analysis required to answer regulatory queries.
We collaborated with internal SMEs in the preparation of a detailed model, technical documentation, and artefacts in accordance with the internal model governance guidance, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
Delivery: emagine deployed a senior project team (PMs, BAs and SME consultants) to perform data analysis, business requirements gathering, testing support, and front-to-back coordination across front office, IT risk and support teams.
Additionally, we supported quantitative analysis activities in model development, validation and monitoring. The project was delivered successfully.
